His first six years as a Doctor of Optometry 
were spent working with a group of 
Ophthalmologists where he gained 
extensive experience in the 
medical aspects of Optometry.
 
He is experienced in the diagnosis 
and treatment of ocular disease, as well as 
the co-management of cataract 
and refractive surgery.  

He is also experienced in the fitting of all 
varieties of contact lenses;  
Including soft contacts, RGP's, 
toric contact lenses, and bifocal contact lenses.

Dr. Alvarez resides in Fort Wayne 
with his wife and four children.
